Happy 1/2 Birthday!

Today was K's 1/2 birthday...so of course we celebrated! She had her cake and ate it too! Not intentionally...our idea was just to get a picture and she just dug right in!
As you can see, she doesn't like chocolate icing very much :) !

Aunt H painted K's rocking chair for her room. She likes to sit in it while we read her books!

It's amazing to think of how fast six months went! On the day she was born it was one of the hottest days of the summer and now on her 1/2 birthday it's one of the coldest this winter! She will have her 6 month check up soon and we will get an update on her weight and height. It will be interesting to see if she is still above the 95% for height!

We have a NEW Place to call home!

Our offer was accepted and we are on our way to close on the new house at the end of February/ early March. We are very excited as it has several features we never had in our other houses...hardwood floors, ceramic tile, granite countertops, wooded lot and walk out basement. We were very fortunate that our realtor found this house for us! Thanks N!
K cut her second tooth and the third one is well on its way! A little Tylenol and Oral Gel goes a long way! :)
G and M are busy packing things up for the big move. We laughed the other night thinking about the fact that this is our third house and we are only 27. We're out of our minds!
We are definitely pro's at packing at this point!
(As you can see K is exicted about her new room!)

WOW it's been awhile!

Nothing too new on the home front! We've put an offer in on a house that we saw this weekend and are hoping that things go through on that. As of now we are the only ones who have an offer in on this house. We have been in a multiple offer situation before and they accepted our offer, however they had previously accepted a contingent offer. So the contigent offer had the chance to "firm up", in other words- find means to strip the contingency off their offer with whatever funds they had available to them. Well they were able to come up with the money so our offer was cancelled. Hence the reason we have put in another offer on a different house.
K is working on a couple of teeth. Hopefully they will pop through soon. They seem to be taking their sweet time coming. Molly (our dog) is loving the life on a farm. She runs around all day and then crashes at night!
We will update you on our offer when we hear more!

Just another day...

Not too much new...G's family Christmas was celebrated Sunday at his brother's house. K's Aunt E and Uncle G hosted a great party! Aunts, uncles, cousins, grandpa and grandma were there. K was definitely tuckered out by the time we got going in the car!
K got a new "Baby Grand Piano" from Uncle G and Aunt E and cousins.
She's on her way to becoming the next Mozart of her time!

K has taken over G-pa's remote...tasted it at least! She loves anything with buttons- remotes,
cell phones, home phones, cameras, etc! Maybe its the different colors or shapes- who knows! What I do know is that it must taste pretty darn good! You can kinda see in the pictures that her pants are a little on the short side...they are 6-12 month outfits and they look like knickers on her. Not the season for knickers in Chicago!

G is still loving his new job! He's been quite busy there as they are trying to open a new facility. At least he's home everynight to see K! That has been nice!

M has been busy looking for houses online and getting moving things in line for next month. Next week a few contractors are going to meet M and K down in Fishers to take care of some warranty issues that were addressed in the inspection. Should be tons of fun "baby sitting" them!

Hope all is well with everyone...email if you get the chance!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

We hope you all had a great New Year!
We rang in the new year with family who loves us very much and wouldn't have it any other way! It was a blast! K only made it until about 10:30p but that's ok!
The Packers beat the Bears! K and Daddy cheered them on in their Packers gear! They had to hear a lot of grief from a bunch of Bears fans- but in the end the PACK prevailed!
Looking back on 2006 we definitely had our ups and downs...but in the end we are so blessed to be together as a family with K as our beautiful daughter...this is what we have always dreamed life to be- to have a happy family - even through thick and thin we will stay strong!

Happy Holidays and Happy New Year!

5 MONTHS TODAY!

Sorry it's been awhile since we've updated our blog! We have had our share of stressful happenings come our way recently. We are back on track now trying to find "just the right" house for us. We are hoping that more houses will come on the market with the new year right around the corner!
K is doing great!! She recently discovered her thumb and her feet! She is still rolling pretty good...when she gets a chance to play on the floor. On her 5 month birthday (today!) she cut her first tooth!!! VERY EXCITING! She seems to be taking the discomfort pretty well for the most part.
Our first Christmas together was great! K was really into tearing into the presents and was wound up for days with her new toys!

She made out quite well for herself! She must have been a good little girl :)

It's amazing to us that she is rolling, sucking her thumb, playing with her toes and teething! Then again I can't believe 5 months ago we were just anxious for her to be born!

Mollers is adjusting well to the moves as well. She made ok on Christmas as well.

We will be celebrating the holidays with our families the next couple of weekends. We wish you and your families a wonderful holiday season! We are looking forward to a new year!

Good News...

First of all, I want to say sorry that there is no photo... we are in transition with our computer :(

However, we did receive an offer on the house and accepted it! We will be closing in Feburary contingent of an inspection, which should be done sometime this week or early next week. We are VERY forunate that our house was only on the market for 45 days. It will be nice to not worry about that over the holidays!
G's company had their Holiday Gala on the 8th at Sand Creek CC and it was wonderful! He works with really outstanding people at his new workplace! Saturday was M's brother's 40th SURPRISE birthday party...what a blast- he had no clue! Good food, good music and of course lots of people to celebrate with!
We found a house that we are very interested in putting an offer in on...we just have to wait to hear back from the sellers agent and try to take a closer look inside! We are keeping our fingers crossed!
Hopefully we'll get some pictures up soon! :)

Happy Turkey Day and More!

On Thanksgiving we went up to great grandma's house! Great grandma gave me a spoon to play with! That was fun until I gagged myself shoving it in a little too far!

After dinner we got a picture with daddy, grandma and great grandma and of course me!

When we went back to Oma's and Opa's we got to visit with Uncle B and Aunt H for a little while. We were all admiring the new remodeled kitchen!

Friday morning M and G got up at 1 am to bargain shop. Then that afternoon K's cousins came over to play and hang out with Molly too!

That evening we went to Uncle G's rehearsal for his big wedding day! At dinner, G and K got together with Grandpa L to say cheese!

The wedding was wonderful and K was a real trooper until she got a little too overtired. The 20 minute naps just didn't cut it after a while. She tried to relax with daddy and fell asleep in record time in her carseat on the way home!

Then to finish off a great weekend K went to see Santa! She told him that she wanted her two front teeth. Santa just smiled and giggled in a way that was not too promising for those two front teeth. Maybe by Valentine's day!

Hum Drum....

Not a whole lot new here! M was in a wedding as a bridesmaid earlier this month in Lafayette, IN. It was a great time to be able to catch up with college friends I haven't seen in a while. K of course was dressed pretty in pink!
We are still waiting for the right people to come through our house and buy it! We found a great house in Crown Point and a few others in CP that we are interested in.
G really enjoys his new job...the people he works with are quite a riot! We are looking forward to their Holiday Gala in early December.
This morning G and M went shopping at 2 am! We are proud to say we got some great deals!
All for now...we'll update with pictures from G's brother's wedding soon!

Fun time at Oma and Opa's!

This week has been one of change! G started his new job and is really enjoying the atmosphere and people he works with...as well as the fact he is home every night to see M and K!
We moved up to NW Indiana and our house is still on the market in Fishers...hopefully the right people will come through soon!
K started with a little cereal in her bottle before bed last night and that was a miracle!! She slept 8 hours straight and then went down for another 3 1/2!!! Ever since her three month growth spurt we had struggled to get her to sleep for more than 2 1/2 - 3 hours at a time, so this was much appreciated advice from Oma!!! Thanks!
This week we will be at M's parents to oversee the remodeling process of their kitchen while they are in Louisville running around like young'ins! Should be interesting!

Trick or Treat...Smell my feet!

Here's our little pumpkin!

K and Molly before the big trick or treaters come!

Here's lookin' at you!

The whole family...who knew G was a one handed photograher?

One more day!

This week is G's last week working down here in Fishers! Then it's time for packing! We are anxious to be up in The Region! Even more anxious for our house to sell. It's been on the market for two weeks and so far there have been steady showings. We trust that the right people will come through soon. It only takes one buyer right?!?
K definitely went through a growth spurt this past week! She was getting up at night every 1 1/2 to 2 hours to nurse. Thankfully she seems to be back on schedule now. :) That's good for everyone!!
Yesterday we had a few friends over for a small get together before we leave this area. It was good to see our peeps for the last time...for a while anyways.

Also...

I forgot to mention that cousin C stayed the night at Oma & Opa's and helped G watch K while M was out with friends. Lil' C is very excited that she was able to calm K down for G whenever she got fussy!

What a weekend...

Friday M's friend came over and we caught up on old times. K had fun drooling all over and chomping on her hands - which has become a fun past time!
Saturday we went to K's cousin's birthday party. She was dressed in her shirt from Oma and had her pumpkin hat on. Her and daddy were ready for the "Fear Factor" party! We got to see a couple of aunts, uncles and cousins... and announce the good news that we would be relocating up closer to them in a couple of weeks!
Then on Sunday we went to see K's other aunt and uncle and Grandma L. At lunch K thought she would try to pull a fast one and grab aunt C's diamond necklace and try to chomp on that!
We all had a good laugh watching aunt C and K try to play tug of war with the necklace!
K of course was dressed in her Packers gear, and they actually won!!!
Overall, it was a good weekend!

HA HA HA HA

Today was a big day for K. She had her first giggles. Mommy heard it first this morning, but daddy was home to hear it as well at lunchtime. She is continuing to grow before our eyes. Tonight was a big night as she saw her boyfriend for a dinner date. (ooooooo)

Love,

G, M, K

We're Moving...yet again!

G accepted a job in NW Indiana! We are very excited as it means we will be closer to his siblings as well as to M's family. We are very blessed that K will get to grow up living by her cousins, aunts, uncles and grandma and grandpa ( affectionately known as O-ma and O-pa). So if anyone is looking for a great house in beautiful Fishers, IN...we know of one :)
This weekend we are off North to K's first cousins birthday party! Very exciting...it has a spooky theme to it! We will be sure to take plenty of pictures!

Here is a pic of the two Cheeseheads getting ready for another not-so-good Packers game!

So here it goes!

I've created a blog to keep everyone informed on whatever our little family is doing. (Thanks for the idea C!) You can visit this website at anytime and see pictures and updates! Our names will be abbreviated by our first initial so no weirdo comes on and tries to do anything they shouldn't be doing!

So here it goes!

K had her three month pictures taken yesterday! She did great and the preview of the pics look awesome. We should get them on CD in the next few weeks and we will share them with everyone! K also had her two month (although she was 10 1/2 weeks) well- check- up appointment... she is 12.5 lbs (74%) and a little over 24" long (~90%). I'm pretty sure she will be tall like her 6'8" daddy! K was baptised on September 17th. It was a great day with family and friends!
I am staying home taking care of the little tyke! I love it! She is amazing and to be able to watch her grow is a blessing! G and I call her our little Miracle!
G is still working for the engineering consulting firm here in Fishers. Right now he is travelling a lot and we are looking for a solution to that! G and K are quite the football fans! He signed her up for Fantasy Football this year and she is definitely holding her own!
We'll keep you posted on any news that comes our way!
